grow your life, change your world

                                                                                                                                    April, 2009

Dear Grabill Missionary Church Family

There is little doubt that the times in which we are living are filled with unprecedented challenges.  Anxiety about the future is incredibly high.  The voices of uncertainty and a climate of pessimism overshadow the lives of many people.

Here’s another reality:  times like these provide people of faith with extraordinary opportunities to have significant impact on the lives of people in our community.  If we are to make the most of these opportunities, we must be willing to act when others are hesitating.  We need to clearly state our vision for the future, and then move with courage toward it.

Yes, our future is affected by the economic realities of the day. However, those realities are not what define our future.  Our future is defined by the God we follow.  So, it is with a spirit of faith in God, and optimism about our future, that we present this vision for the next phase of our journey as a congregation here at Grabill Missionary Church.

Because God has blessed us

                                                and used us

                                                                        in this place

                                                                                                for a long time…

…we invite Him to continue to bless us and use us in the future.

Here is how we see this happening.

Vision 2009

Our purpose remains the same…

To exalt the God who has blessed us…
Through our worship, in different styles and ways, in different times and places, yet always with gratitude in our hearts for His blessing.

To help believers on their spiritual journey…
As we take this spiritual journey together, the life change we’ve experienced and our own spiritual growth, help us more effectively serve each other.
To reach out to hurting people…
People who are hurting spiritually, physically, and emotionally in our community and all around our world.  Intentional evangelism is the central motivation for all our outreach.  We want others to experience the God who has touched us and changed our lives.
